Privacy

What this site collects, what it does not, and what happens to an email address if you leave one at the counter.

This site is built to be read without being watched. The short version: no advertising trackers, no analytics profile built about you, and nothing sold to anybody.

What the site collects

Nothing you have to give. The pages here are static. Reading them requires no account, no login and no cookie set by this site.

Standard server logs. Like every web server, the host records requests — an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested and the browser's user-agent string. These are used to keep the site working and to spot abuse. They are not used to build a profile and are not combined with anything else.

No advertising or social trackers. There are no third-party advertising pixels, no social-network embeds and no cross-site tracking scripts on any page.

Email addresses

If you leave an address in the signup form, it is used to send the newsletter described next to the form and nothing else.

It is never sold, rented, shared or passed to a platform reviewed on this site. Unsubscribing is a link at the foot of every email and takes effect immediately. If you would rather have the address deleted outright than suppressed, write to the counter and it will be removed.

Writing to [email protected] means the message sits in an inbox. Messages are kept while they are useful and deleted when they are not.

Following a /go/ link sends you to the platform's own site. From that point their privacy policy applies, not this one, and they may set their own cookies.

Where a partner programme is active, the destination may include a parameter identifying this site as the referrer so the commission can be attributed. That parameter identifies the site, not you.

Third parties

This site is served as static files from a content delivery network, which necessarily processes the request in order to return the page. Fonts are served from Google Fonts. No other third party receives data as a result of your visit.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Given how little is held here, the practical answer is usually an email address and the answer is usually immediate. Ask at the contact page.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the revised version will appear here with a new date. It was last revised on 19 September 2026.
